This loft marked a dramatic departure from the clients’ previous home — a shift from classic grandeur to something more open, modern, and understated. With its generous volumes and clean lines, Abrams Valenti introduced a design approach that brings warmth and texture without interrupting the flow.
A long porcelain dining table grounds the main living area, paired with indoor-outdoor chairs built to handle everything from weeknight meals to craft projects. In the adjacent living space, a low-slung sofa on acrylic legs seems to hover, softened by tactile fabrics and anchored by an integrated, illuminated side table. A cluster of three multi-layered, irregularly shaped stone cocktail tables on metal bases creates a striking, sculptural composition. New lighting throughout—including a cluster of ethereal, fan-shaped pendants crafted from an innovative, rice-paper-inspired material and suspended at varying heights—adds a delicate lightness that beautifully complements the loft’s multistory scale.

Upstairs, a mezzanine workspace doubles as a creative hub for the family—outfitted with a commercial-grade table, colorful benches, and playful seating that invite collaboration. This thoughtful balance of openness, texture, and purposeful design creates a home that feels both approachable and sophisticated—where the architecture quietly frames everyday life.
